TITLE:Investigation of strawberry color control genes and their functions
ABSTRACT:
Strawberries are known as the "Queen of Fruits" because of their unique flavor and high nutritional value. Currently, in addition to red strawberries such as ‘Benihoppe’ and ‘Akihime’, there are also white, pink and dark red strawberry varieties on the market. The different colors of strawberries are due to the different types and contents of anthocyanins in the fruit. In practice, the color of the fruit is a very important external quality factor that directly affects the popularity of the fruit in the market. Therefore, mining the genes controlling fruit color and analyzing their regulatory mechanisms can provide a good theoretical basis for the selection of new varieties and has good application prospects.
